Welcome Note

Hello fellow scholars of Hallam,

Over the years, you might have heard in your Scholarship email that you will be a part of a global network of scholars that will allow you to form connections for life. This society is a step towards that.

Over the past few months, me, Anam, Moshood and Mahmud had several meetings and conversations with the Global Engagement Directorate and Sheffield Hallam Students Union and with the support of fellow scholars, we found a fruitful solution in the formation of SHSU Scholars Society.

We welcome you to Sheffield Hallam University for your undergraduate/post-graduate/doctorate studies and invite you to join the society, contribute to the expansion of cross-stream development, foster life-long connections and expand the society.

We hope you have a good time during your stay in Sheffield.

Regards,
SHSU Scholars Committee

Every year around 3000 International students study at Sheffield Hallam and only 35 of them receive any form of scholarship. It is not an automatic discount, or a grant, but a scholarship, which is a competitive process. And the success rate is approximately 1 in 86 students. However, I would like to remind you that just receiving the scholarship doesn't me
